Branding things ‘fake’ without any verification is common these days, but the label’s implications in the world of cybersecurity has real repercussions on businesses.

No one knows that better than Ekata, a company that provides global identity verification via APIs and a SaaS solution. Powered by the Ekata Identity Engine, the product suite uses AI and machine learning to spot fraudulent accounts on user websites, resulting in reduced customer friction and decreased loss revenue. To date, they have verified more than a billion transactions requests across 238 countries.

But why stop there? Just this month, Ekata debuted a new tool for account onboarding. Their new account opening API service gives issuing agencies “a better chance at detecting and deterring fraudulent accounts, while still allowing valid accounts without excess friction,” Bhavana Mathur, vice president of product management at Ekata, said in a recent press release. Companies can now see an identity risk score and identity network score on user accounts to determine personal lending and reduce application abandonment.

Below, learn more about how this month’s featured company tackles identity verification and the perks and benefits that motivate employees to innovate.
