You’ll drive the end to end design of learning content for small- and large-scale change management initiatives that require full programs that follow the journey of an employee from onboarding to career progression. You will need to be able to think strategically and righty into the detail and be open to getting involved with design to support your team’s development.

What You Will Do:
  • Interpret content strategy into solutions
  • Ability to plan and drive briefs forward through multiple designers
  • Continuously drive innovation in ways of working and content design, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in learning
  • Strong lateral and creative skills to solve cross functional business challenges.
  • Lead a team of instructional designers, working across multiple learning programs
  • Collaborate jointly and thoughtfully on content design approach with Media Manager peer
  • Designs in collaboration and balances this with a bias to action.
Who You Are:
  • You have 2-3 years’ experience developing a team of designers as well as 2-3 years in a design role, preferably sales curriculum design
  • You have experience in planning large scale production across a global roadmap and content strategy
  • You are a strategic thinker and drive large scale programs across multiple channels of work, demonstrating creativity and innovation throughout
  • Able to articulate core purpose of content, presenting all programs clearly to all levels, with the ability to handle both executive leadership and operational teams, adapting style to different audiences as needed.
  • Ability to drive design thinking to help designers effectively simplify, deducing complex ideas into simple, easy to understand content
  • Collaborate at a Manager level with peers across our division
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and change

An Insider's view of Expedia Group

What's something quirky about your company?

Everyone is obsessed with travel…Really! No matter who you are working with or run into in the halls you somehow always land on travel, where you have been, where you want to go or what is the next trip you are planning. Talk about a company with passion!

What's the biggest problem your team is solving?

In today's world, when you travel, you need things at your fingertips! Imagine you pull up your phone, click a few buttons, type some messages and get the answers to your travel needs quickly. That's what my team and I do - we give customers a rich experience to chat with a virtual assistant on any device and solve their travel problems right away!

Urja

What makes someone successful on your team?

Accept whatever starting point you have and creatively work with it to organically take a feature area, the team’s culture, and cross-org relationships to the next level. Don’t just take at face value your instructions, but turn every stone to solve user problems with joy and passion. The resulting impact is a sure sign of success.

Lawrence

What are some things you learned at the company?

What got you here today, will not get you there tomorrow. I believe this applies both organizationally and professionally; in order to maintain success, you must continuously evolve, challenge yourself, and take learnings from your mistakes.
