About the Role:

PitchBook is searching for a detail-oriented copy editor with well-honed communication skills to join our growing internal Creative Agency. You will be responsible for proof-reading and performing quality assurance on a variety of marketing content, including articles, case studies, ads, white papers, e-books and more. By managing multiple assignments at once and collaborating with project stakeholders from across the organization, you'll play a key role in helping elevate and differentiate the PitchBook brand. An understanding of the private and public capital markets is not a prerequisite, but enthusiasm to learn about our industry is essential.

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Line edit and fact-check case studies, blog posts, email, landing pages, white papers, e-books, infographics, ads, and other B2B marketing copy for digital and print
  • Regularly update existing content with current statistics and company information using Adobe Creative Suite
  • Own accountability for editorial quality for all of the Creative Agency's marketing materials
  • Uphold publication standards per PitchBook's style guide
  • Create checklists and related best-practice documents to standardize editing processes
  • Work closely with designers and assist in document-to-design checks
  • Collaborate with an integrated, in-house team of 12+ writers, designers and multimedia specialists across dozens of concurrent projects

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in English, Finance, Marketing, Communications, or related field
  • 2+ years of proofreading/copyediting experience
  • Demonstrated professional experience in B2B marketing, financial services marketing and consulting or equivalent client-facing experience a plus
  • Experience with Microsoft Suite (advanced Excel experience a plus) and Adobe Creative Suite
  • Command of correct grammar and punctuation for professional communications as well as AP style
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and apply corporate branding, style and tone guidelines to ensure content accuracy and consistency across multiple channels
  • Familiarity with financial markets and investing terminology a plus
