About The Role


We’re looking for a versatile Technical Writer to be a founding member of our growing Tech Writing team. You’ll be among the first to collaborate with product managers, service executives, and product designers to invent the future of our customer Help experiences.

Highspot helps sales teams gain insight into the effectiveness of their content, guidance, training and coaching -- fast, and we want our Help experiences to be an inspiration. As an innovative Senior Technical Writer, you’ll design and create content that customers rely on to learn and master our evolving Analytics platform. In addition to developing in-depth analytics guides, you’ll explore opportunities that take our content to the next level. Along the way, you’ll help define a uniquely Highspot content strategy that anticipates customer needs and fosters success with each release. What You’ll Do

  • Work closely with our teams of product managers, services executives, and customer-facing subject matter experts to understand and document how customers can excel at using our Analytics reports and scorecards.
  • Plan, write, manage, and continuously improve all aspects of our Help experiences, such as KB articles, UI text, and contextual help.
  • Partner with colleagues to map out a lightweight content strategy that efficiently brings outstanding content to the table.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to develop content that supports our product releases.
  • Be a strong advocate for an outstanding user experience across all product assets.

Your Background

  • Must-Haves:
  • Customer-focused technical writing skills. 5+ years of experience as a technical writer at a software company, preferably on a CRM/sales and/or marketing platform. You know what matters to customers and design content that’s conversational and crystal clear. 
  • Analytics acuity. Experience working with analytics products and platforms. You’re skilled at talking to both new and seasoned analysts.
  • Organizationally inspired. You excel at organizing information in an easy-to-understand hierarchy and can build intuitive connections throughout the Help Center and other resources.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit. You actively embrace innovation, strive for continuous improvement, and are eager to help scale a new team’s impact across the company. 

  • Nice-To-Haves:
  • Familiarity with instructional design principles and practices
  • Knowledge of CRM software such as Salesforce or Dynamics
  • ZenDesk Guide and HTML/CSS
  • JIRA

Location

Our HQ is located within walking distance of Pike Place Market and the Seattle Piers. With amazing 360 views of the Puget Sound and Downtown Seattle. The only downside, there are almost too many places to pick for your lunch meetings.
