Position Summary:
Reporting to the Content Manager, you will have a direct impact on the success of both the Creative Services and Conversions teams. The SEO Content Writer will be a strong content creator who is adept at using analytics and SEO strategies to make editorial decisions. Responsible for crafting digital-first, short- and long-form content, you will create engaging and compelling SEO-optimized content for a blog, social, website, and more.
Key Responsibilities Include:

• Build an editorial calendar and write blog posts that are optimized for SEO
• Work with key partners to ensure that blog content is fully maximized across channels (social media, email, website, etc.)
• Report on insights to help define content strategies by analyzing critical metrics
• Apply SEO methodologies to optimize content for maximum ranking
• Champion the brand voice and ensure consistency in brand and tone throughout Trupanion communications
• Act as copywriter and editor across multiple teams, with the flexibility to understand different goals and audiences, and adjust writing accordingly

Experience:

• 3 to 5 years of marketing, communications, or writing experience
• 2 to 3 years of SEO writing experience

• Strong analytical, critical, and creative-thinking skills required
• Thrive in a fast-paced environment; can balance multiple projects simultaneously and reprioritize quickly
• Has attention to detail yet adaptable - you should champion our brand voice, but know how to emphasize different tones for different audiences
• Understanding of basic conversion funnel and marketing tactics
