Illfonic is seeking a Character Technical Artist to push character animations to that next level in UE4. Founded in 2007, IllFonic (IllFonic, LLC) is an independent video game developer with studios in Golden, Colorado; Tacoma, Washington; and Austin, Texas. Our staff is composed of video game, music, and technology veterans redefining how games are made and marketed. Past titles and collaborations include Friday the 13th: The Game, Dead Alliance, Star Citizen, Evolve, Armored Warfare, Crysis 3, and Nexuiz.

You'll primarily be working in UE4, implementing animation features along with engineering, art, and design. You'll be working in Animation Blueprints, UE4 blend spaces, character physics assets, and more.

Responsibilities:

  • Create and combine needed animation assets in UE4
  • Refine and maintain character physics assets
  • Provide feedback for animation pipeline in DCC apps as well as UE4
  • Look for optimization opportunities
  • Be comfortable with at least one 3D program (Maya preferred)

Qualifications:

  • Experience with Python or similar scripting environments
  • Professional UE4 experience working with character animation assets
  • Experience working with key frame and motion capture assets

Bonus Skills:

  • C++ experience
