Job Description

The Website Content Manager, reporting to Director of Content, is responsible for creating and editing web content that engages targeted business audiences in the health and benefits industry while building an inspiring brand story. This person should be an experienced content creator and strategist for websites, including an understanding of writing for SEO. This role requires a high level of creativity, attention to detail, and project management skills.

A day in the life…


· Website Content Strategy and Execution

o Partner closely with Director of Content and key stakeholders across the business to build, socialize and execute a quarterly content strategy that aligns with marketing objectives and company goals, while maintaining brand voice, style and tone across all channels

o Partner with Strategic / Enterprise and Mid-Market sales teams to create a quarterly content strategy supporting the sales funnel

o Align with Product and Clinical teams to ensure website content stays up-to-date

o Partner with Developer teams to ensure a timely and smooth implementation of website content updates

o Partner with the Demand Marketing team to execute on content updates that support SEO

o Understand how to write for SEO, including url slugs, page titles, meta descriptions, and H1 and H2 headlines

o Partner with Demand Marketing to report out performance results and adjust strategy as needed to optimize website content

o Understand and support a test and learn website content environment, using best practices in collaboration with Demand Marketing

· Sales Content Support

o Partner with Director of Content and Sr. Content Manager to support Strategic / Enterprise and Mid-Market sales team content, including nurture campaigns, digital ads, and other needs

o Project manage in partnership with Demand and Field Marketing teams to ensure flawless execution, including calendaring content plan for sharing outside of Corporate Communications team

o Partner with Demand Marketing to report results and key learnings and iterate content based on results

· Strategic Collaboration

o Support the creation of monthly and quarterly updates to share out the Corporate Communication team’s work across Field Marketing and other departments

o Establish, maintain and follow editorial governance through style guides, creative briefs, campaign overviews, messaging framework templates and other internal tools

o Manage creative agency resources and project execution as needed


Qualifications

What we are looking for…

· Bachelor’s Degree in English, Creative Writing, Journalism or related field

· 8+ years’ experience in online writing and content marketing

· Expert wordsmith, storyteller and content strategist who can showcase our product’s value in a compelling way

· Excellent teamwork, communication, organizational and project management skills

· Experience working with content management systems and managing agency or freelance resources

· Editorial mindset with the ability to research, learn about a wide range of topics and propose creative ideas, all while operating on firm deadlines

· Experience working with high-performing teams and against tight deadlines while supporting the needs of and communicating with multiple stakeholders

· Ability to analyze and present creative content that is based on data and insights, ties to sales performance and influences senior leadership
