The Role


As a Manager of Analytics Engineering (or Sr Manager) at Outreach.io you will lead a team that acts as the bridge between data engineers and data analysts. We’re looking for an analytical individual who is passionate about data and has the ability to build well tested, up to date, and documented datasets that the rest of the company can use to answer their own questions. You will have the opportunity to make an impact at a fast growing company and help the Business Intelligence and Analytics teams to evolve and mature their use of data and analytics across the company.


About The Team


The BI&A team is on a mission to bring relevant data and insights to every person at Outreach while advancing the use of data and promoting an insight-centric culture. The BI & Analytics team is a centralized team empowering all Outreach business functions with strategic measurement and insights. 



Your Daily Adventures Will Include

  • Leading and growing a strong group of Analytics Engineers that are at the forefront of enabling the data culture at Outreach
  • Partner with analyst and teams throughout Outreach on identifying opportunities and building solutions to help in simplifying operations while producing rich and accurate data sets to be used across the organization
  • Work with cross-functional stakeholders in defining and documenting company-wide single source of truth data models that power analysis throughout Outreach
  • Support our analytics infrastructure (Tableau, Snowflake, DBT) to solve operational use cases as well as increase self service adoption around the company
  • Set company-wide standards for data quality and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the delivery of it
  • Project manage changes to data architecture and help communicate change throughout the enterprise
  • Reconcile data discrepancies and alerts between various systems, finding opportunities to innovate and drive improvements
  • Manages company's data access permissions and be the point of contact for data systems such as Snowflake, Tableau etc.

Required Qualifications

  • Experience leading and managing a team of analytics engineers and data architects, developing roadmaps in partnership with management and stakeholders
  • Expert SQL proficiency with proven competencies, designing well-architected data models, optimizing for query performance, clearly documenting code
  • Experience with DBT or similar analytics workflow tools
  • Experience with management and enablement of Data Visualization tools such Tableau, Looker etc.
  • Hands-on experience with Master Data Management (full lifecycle gathering requirements, choosing/implementing tool, building solutions)
  • Experience with data governance (defining procedures, establishing change management policies)
  • Experience with operational tools and business systems such as Amplitude, Salesforce, Netsuite, or Zuora
  • Exposure to Object oriented coding languages (i.e. Java, Python)
  • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal skills needed to effectively communicate and engage with stakeholders
  • Experience managing a data warehouse is a plus
