Assistant Director, Analytic Development Program
We are looking for an Assistant Director to lead a team of analysts in the Analyst Development Program (ADP) to share experiences, coach, and develop the future of analytical talent at Liberty. The Analyst Development Program is a cross functional college hire program that engages in quarterly rotations to provide exposure opportunities to recent college graduates. Analysts in the program will rotate through GRM, GRS, and corporate analytical functions after robust onboarding and training. In addition, this role will require input into the go-forward strategy for the changing analytical and global needs of Liberty Mutual GRM US, GRM East, GRM West, and GRS.
Responsibilities:
- Autonomously coach, develop, and manage team of entry level analysts in the Analyst Development Program.
- Build consensus and collaborate with fellow ADP managers to create unified coaching and development methods.
- Act as mentor for recent college graduates.
- Be a vocal advocate for the ADP around the with organization partners, managing relationships with multiple function partners supported by ADP.
- Understand skillsets of each individual analyst and apply situational based coaching.
- Be at the forefront of assessing talent needs within the organization and adapting trainings to match.
- Independently develop strategy for program expansion and hiring, ensuring trainings and talent meet business need.
- Participate in all ADP activities including recruiting, training, and analytical application of learnings and programs.
- Effectively balance multiple high complexity projects and needs of analysts with minimal direction.
- Positively and actively promote and embody Liberty's Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion principles.
The ideal candidate will be aligned to Seattle or Plano, and have the ability to come in and occasionally meet/coach analysts in person when necessary - while maintaining flexibility to do so on their own terms/schedule.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, economics, or other quantitative field
- Minimum of 6, typically 8 years or more of relevant work experience
- Master's degree beneficial
- Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and data analysis software (eg, SAS, Access)
- Must have good planning, organization, analytical, decision-making and communication skills
- Experience directly managing others preferred
