About the role

The Retail Systems team is responsible for creating Coupang's portfolio of vendor and seller facing services, tools, and platforms for common business processes. As the backbone of Coupang, we drive increased product selection and lower prices for our customers. Our mission is to create highly scalable software platforms that empower our vendors and third party sellers to grow and manage their Coupang businesses online and through mobile platforms. We have big goals at Coupang and the Retail Systems team is at the center of it all!!!

What you’ll do:

• Develop key business metrics measuring inputs and outputs, in collaboration with business teams and senior management
• Work with internal analytics teams to get access to required data and to drive requirements for the data platform
• Conduct in-depth data analyses to drive and deliver insights to help business partners make strategic decision
• Partner with different functional teams, leveraging various tools to automate models and reports
• Cares deeply about data quality and demonstrates this commitment by attention to quality of data and code generated

What we’re looking for:

• At least 3 years of experience with advanced skill in using SQL is a must.
• Preferred experience with a scripting language (Python, Perl, VBA)
• Intermediate to advanced skills in using Excel and Access is preferred.
• Experience querying Big Data Systems (Hive, Hadoop, or Hue)
• Ability to understand multiple retail business models and their technical implementation
• Familiar with marketing analytics, customer segmentation, and data science
• Strong capability to draw insights/conclusions from raw data and summarizing results quickly and efficiently
• Ability to prioritize work in a complex, fast-paced environment.
• Preferred relevant working experience in Retail/e-commerce/marketing.
• Preferred experience working with global teams including the United States
• Bachelor's degree majored in finance, technical, business, analytical or related majors (mathematics, computer science/engineering, engineering, statistics, economics etc.)
