We are currently seeking a talented Business Insights Analyst to work in our Data Science department at our headquarters in Seattle, WA.
What You Will Be Doing:

In this role, you will be partnering with Leafly’s product team on improving performance KPIs, in-depth analyses, and optimizing business and consumer programs in an e-commerce marketplace. This role is highly analytical and will be responsible for providing data-driven insights that help define our business strategy, product vision, and roadmap. We are looking for someone who enjoys the technical aspects of coding, data analysis, solving complex problems, and data advocacy to solve exciting business problems. Our ideal team member is someone who enjoys transforming data into models, stories, reports, and dashboards that business people and technical people can easily understand and can use to answer critical business questions.
Responsibilities:

  • Partnering with the product team to identify and drive strategic and operational improvements that deliver sustainable lift
  • Reviewing product performance, advising on areas of opportunity, and analyzing A/B testing and other experimental data to measure the impact of new features
  • Developing & testing hypotheses to explain both macro and micro trends and opportunities in the business
  • Understand user-behavioral drivers of product performance at a deep level, and offer recommendations to leadership
  • Measure effectiveness of recommendations and perform analytical deep-dives to resolve problems or identify opportunities
  • Continually design, test, and deploy new reports - all with the goal of providing a state-of-the-art reporting environment
  • Participate in engaging with product management teams to provide the most accurate and relevant information to help drive meaningful business decisions

Experience:

  • 4-year degree in numerical or analytical field (Engineering, Math, Economics, Commerce, etc.
  • 2+ years of experience analyzing data in a fast-paced, data-driven environment
  • Proficiency at SQL Query development (MySQL, MSSQL, Postgres, Google Big Query, Amazon Redshift)
  • Experience with Tableau, Qlik, Looker, PowerBI, or other data visualization tools
  • Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets (R, SPSS, SAS, or MATLAB etc.) 
  • Analytical experience, with experience building product intuition, solving problems using data and providing business insights
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, with advanced knowledge of Excel (including Pivot Tables and VLookup)
  • Web and marketing analytics skills (e.g, Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics) are preferred.
  • You have a passion for turning data into data models that help others unlock the power of their data and the ability to identify unreasonable results and a well-tuned sense of skepticism
  • Ability to easily adapt to frequently changing priorities and fast paced environment
  • Must be self-motivated with a high degree of intellectual curiosity, positive attitude & impeccable worth ethic
