This role:

As a Business Intelligence Lead, you will work with technical leadership and partner with senior business leaders and stakeholders to understand their needs, requirements, current utilization of data, assess and improve their data capabilities, and prioritize key BI initiatives. You democratize data by putting it in the hands of the wider organization, building high quality, architecturally sound models and analytics systems that are aligned with our business needs. You are hands-on, producing both detailed technical work and developing analytics strategy and roadmaps in support of current and future business goals. You collaborate with data engineering, and advanced data science and analytics teams to transform insights into applied models for optimal decision-making.

The successful candidate will :

  • Be a self-starter comfortable with ambiguity, with strong attention to detail, an ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
  • Proactively seek to identify business opportunities and provide solutions based on a broad and deep knowledge of Blink’s data resources, industry best-practices, and work done by other teams.
  • Define, Socialize, & Drive BI governance and standard methodologies to support and guide the growing Blink BI community.
  • Partner with senior business leaders and stakeholders to manage project intake, pipeline, prioritize, and manage staffing against key initiatives
  • Define and develop metrics, appropriate for business goals, reflecting industry standards, avoiding duplication of effort across teams. 
  • Ensure analytics and visualization systems are performant, have proper access controls at reasonable costs. Measure adoption and usage across Blink.
  • Stay abreast of changes and improvements to BI tools and underlying data warehouse models and capabilities. Continuously improve the BI solutions. 
  • Translates business questions and requirements into reports, views, and BI query objects

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Computer Science/Information Systems, or equivalent experience.
  • 4+ years of experience working in business intelligence, visualization, analytics, data engineering, or a similar role. Experience applying visualization and data management tools such as Looker, Tableau, AWS QuickSight
  • Advanced knowledge of SQL and ETL jobs, hands-on skills required.
  • Must have a strong background in data analysis, including developing data models, preparing reports, and data visualizations.
  • Experience building intuitive and actionable dashboards and data visualizations that drive business decisions (using Workday Prism, Tableau, etc.)
  • Comfortable presenting data and reports to Sr. Management. 
  • Ability to take a problem, requirement, or strategy; research solution and take from concept to implementation for desired outcomes.
  • Project management skills-ability to drive projects end-to-end, work cross functionally. 
  • The ability to effectively establish priorities and meet deadlines when work on multiple projects.
  • Communication and stakeholder management skills - Ability to build consensus by clearly communicating and presenting information
  • Ability to lead, coach, motivate, inspire and influence teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully collaborate across teams and disciplines
