Data Analyst Reports to VP of Corporate Development At Coinme, our goal is to improve the financial lives for everyone by providing easy and ubiquitous access to consumer financial services built on blockchain technology. We believe that decentralization in finance through digital assets can transform the world by giving the power (and earnings) back to individuals. In order to accomplish this, Coinme is building out the world’s largest physical cash onramp to cryptocurrencies, a mobile-first digital bank-like experience, as well as provide Decentralized Finance (DeFi) services on a digital wallet. We envision a world where people will store, trade, and pay with their money on Coinme. To support this mission, we are looking for a world class Data Analyst. Purpose: Serve as a gatekeeper for Coinme’s data so stakeholders can understand data and use it to make strategic business decisions. This position will ensure data integrity across multiple source systems, which is vital to Coinme success as we continue to grow. This role will dive into Coinme’s data to uncover insights, formulate and test ideas, and partner with stakeholders across multiple departments. Primary Responsibilities • Work with a variety of data sources - extracting knowledge and actionable information from massive datasets • Build and flesh-out data models in our Coinme database for use in regular and/or automated reporting and analysis • Analyze acquisition and retention funnels, identifying weak points and brainstorming ways to improve UX, conversion, and profitability • Evaluate operations for inefficiencies and identify areas where you can create, automate, and develop tools (SQL based or otherwise) • Diagnose data-related bugs and ensure prompt resolution • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on product development and testing; Serve as a statistical expert for A/B tests • Influence direction of Business Intelligence by prioritizing source systems to make available in the data warehouse • Serve as a Data Steward to ensure data integrity across multiple source systems • Build user usage, retention, LTD and LTV models for all customers • Cohort analysis • Financial and transactional reporting • Convey your work and results to a wide variety of internal stakeholders • Be a passionate problem solver, breaking down problems and developing analytical insights • Support the business with ad hoc reporting • Continuously strive for a deeper understanding of our business drivers • Offer insights to all aspects of the organization The role will build and flesh out data models for use in regular and/or automated reporting and analysis across functions. REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERTISE • 3+ years of experience as a SAAS-based Business or Data Analyst • A passion for insights, innate curiosity, and a deep desire to find ways to create value • Experience working with analytics tools such as Tableau, R, and other reporting and analytics tools • Experience with large scale data log sifting tools • Solid working knowledge of SQL • Data extraction and modeling skills • Ability to perform cluster analysis, segmentation • Ability to work independently while interacting with multiple business teams and stakeholders • Experience with online analytics tools such as Amplitude, MixPanel, etc. • Understanding of Data Warehouses and multi-source data models • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Adept at preparing and presenting data insights as actionable business intelligence PREFERRED • Experience with fintech a strong plus, including financial and compliance reporting • In-depth knowledge of cryptocurrencies and crypto-communities • SaaS background, technical expertise, online investing or finance experience, startup history • Experience working with segmentation based user engagement tools such as Braze, Iterable, etc. EDUCATION • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Statistics, or related field • Masters Degree is a plus COMPENSATION & BENEFITS • Competitive salary • Company-sponsored, comprehensive health benefits package, including health, dental, vision, life, and more. Working remotely part of the time is an option for the right individual.
