The Data and Reports Coordinator is responsible for collecting, organizing, maintaining, interpreting, and integrating data in support of the Northwest Commission on Colleges and Universities’ (NWCCU) data driven approaches to promote student success and close equity gaps. The incumbent is expected to document processes, archive and retrieve data, and test and use relevant computer programs and software. This position works collaboratively and supports other NWCCU staff to ensure the academic accreditation process.

This position reports to NWCCU’s Vice President for Data Science and Analytics. 

Responsibilities:

  • Data entry and retrieval from software tools and systems to support the mission of the agency 
  • Maintains accurate, high quality data within software systems to support the mission of the agency
  • Generates reports from software systems to support the mission of the agency
  • Maintain an active, communicative and collaborative relationship with external stakeholders
  • Other projects as assigned
  • Understand federal, regional and other regulations related to working with educational data
  • Provide data management updates in internal and external meetings as required
  • Execute integration of data from IPEDS, Annual Reports and other sources into reports for evaluation teams and member institutions
  • Manage data discrepancies with member institutions
  • Collect and manage NWCCU data
  • Prepare data reports for public and member institution consumption (on the web and in static reports) for reporting, meetings, audits and presentations.
  • Update and maintain database records and lists
  • Run, update, and troubleshoot various reports
  • Collaborate with member institutions, other accrediting agencies and institutional research associations.
  • Using, testing and providing abbreviated instructional documents of computer programs/software for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Assist staff in data entry when required.
  • Provide interpretation of data in accordance with company’s guidelines and standards
  • Recommend efficient methods of data collection and management

Required Education, Experience, and Skills:

This position requires the ability to track details utilizing a variety of office software programs and platforms, including those for publishing, social networking, and distance collaboration required. Ability to plan, develop and coordinate multiple projects; ability to lead and support others in the organization to achieve desired outcomes required. Ability to work effectively with a wide range of diverse constituencies required. Excellent executive-level professional support, forecasting and management skills required.  Experience with Salesforce or other Customer Relations Management platforms strongly preferred, but not required.

  • Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution of higher learning.  Professional experience working with data and records can substitute for degree.
  • A minimum of two-years’ experience managing data and records and demonstrable experience in data access and manipulation. 
  • Must possess technical skills and agility with a variety of office software programs and platforms; the ability to work effectively with a diverse variety of internal and external constituents.
  • Ability to maintain a professional demeanor and adapt to rapidly changing priorities. 
  • Demonstrable ability to work in multi-disciplinary teams, displaying excellent interpersonal skills. 
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, and oral and written communication skills. 
  • Demonstrable ability to prioritize multiple projects simultaneously to meet deadlines. 

Location: Redmond, WA

Term: Permanent, 12-month position

Salary and Benefits: Salary commensurate with qualifications and experience, and benefits include TIAA retirement plan, health insurance, and long-term disability
