The Role

We are looking for a Data Engineer to help build and maintain our data platform. You will work as part of the data platform team, partnering with our product team and partner engineering teams to deliver timely, high quality, innovative data analytics and reporting solutions to our customers.

The Team

The Engineering and Product teams consist of 40 talented and passionate team members, working to make Knock the premier software product in the Multifamily real estate industry. The Analytics Team is responsible for building out our data platform and analytics products, providing industry-leading business intelligence to our customers.

Day to Day

• Contribute to the detailed designs of our analytics platform
• Make significant coding contributions to our analytics platform
• Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues, providing system monitoring and problem resolution
• Validate data quality, accuracy and timeliness
• Evaluate new technologies and tools and make recommendations based on usefulness, opportunity and cost
• Support our analytics product and business intelligence efforts

Basic Qualifications

• Data Engineering experience
• Knowledge of and experience with Python and SQL
• Experience with stream processing (Kafka, Kinesis) 
• Experience with data warehousing (Redshift, Snowflake)
• Experience with workflow management systems (Airflow, Luigi, Prefect)
• Experience with ETL/ELT tools (such as Alooma, Stitch, Fivetran)
• Exposure to managing BI solutions (Looker, Tableau, Sisense)
• Strong commitment to data quality 




Nice to Have

• Experience building data platform from scratch
• Database Management experience (DBA type work)
• Jack of all trades in regards to data
