Join our team as a data engineer and you will help leading consumer brands use data and technology to discover insights, improve decision-making and transform their businesses.
Stackline is looking for a data engineer you will build and scale our data pipelines. You will need to analyze data to ensure business requirements are met, identifying inconsistencies in the data and optimize/support current processes.
You will need your experience building/optimizing backend services and data pipelines coming from dozens of sources/API’s as we are working towards a billion data points ingested weekly. You will be working with data ingestion/dev teams, data science/algorithm teams and business intelligence/SQL teams to understand the different areas and initiatives of each group.
We're looking for you to come in ready to design, build and launch new data extraction processes in production. Support existing processes and work with data infrastructure to triage infra issues and drive to resolution. In the end you will be applying business logic to decrease process times across all areas of the organization.
Experience
- B.S./B.A. in Engineering, Mathematics, Computer Science, or other technical field.
- 3+ years experience with Python when it comes to data packages including writing Python deployment scripts.
- 2+ years working with databases such as MongoDB, Redshift, S3, Postgres, or Elasticsearch.
- 2+ years demonstrated experience designing custom ETL processes.
- 2+ years working with Python or Java.
Preferred qualifications
- 3+ years of experience building, scaling and maintaining software and data infrastructure.
- 2+ years’ experience in writing SQL statements.
- Experience working with a large scale SAAS application.
