Leafly started as an excel spreadsheet and has since grown to become the largest cannabis information resource in the world. We are expanding rapidly, and we are looking for smart, forward-thinking leaders to help us achieve our goal of shaping the global cannabis landscape.
A career at Leafly combines the excitement of a start-up, the social purpose of a non-profit, and the growth opportunities of a major corporation. We are currently seeking a Data (Warehouse) Engineer to join our Data Engineering Team and help us continue to build a scalable data platform for analytics and data science applications. You will work in our engineering department at our headquarters in Seattle, WA or our office in Baltimore, MD. For the right candidate, other remote locations will also be considered!
What We Look For In Our Engineers

You're curious about new things. When you see something you're unfamiliar with, you ask someone to teach you more about it, or just dive straight in and figure it out.

You want to automate everything. Automation solves problems for you and allows you to spend less time on mundane and repetitive tasks and more time learning and building things.

You’re a self starter and collaborative. You’re comfortable working independently as well as pairing or collaborating with other engineers. You ask for help when you need it, and you help your teammates. You make us better and vice versa.

You're a great communicator. You're excited to share what you know and eager to hear what others have to teach you.

You have a customer service mentality. When someone is struggling with a tool you built, you're there to help them understand it and get the most out of it.

You're always looking for ways to improve. Whether it's self-improvement through learning new skills, or improving the systems we build by making them faster, more reliable, or more observable, you're constantly on the lookout for opportunities to make things better.

An Insider's view of Leafly

What’s the vibe like in the office?

It's amazing. I’m not really a cannabis user, and when I interviewed it was the people, vibe, and opportunity that drew me in. It’s exciting to make new things that consumers will see and use, that will help them find what they’re looking for. It’s what we’re all about.

What’s the vibe like in the office?

It's a fun place to work. We're part of great company at the forefront of a young industry. We celebrate wins, group wins, individual wins, the whole team jumps in to congratulate wins big and small. And cannabis is something I’m passionate about, so, for me, working here is its own kind win.
