We are seeking a Data Quality Engineer, that can hit the ground running, leveraging their skills with complex data and their experience and passion for quality and accuracy to protect and ensure the quality of our data products, utilized by some of the biggest brands in the world.

How you'll succeed on the team:

As an DQE at Yapta, you have the passion, skill, and background to ensure quality within the organization and recommend quality improvements for Yapta’s data platforms. You will have the responsibility to ensure our data meets a high bar for accuracy, timeliness, and consistency. Additionally, you will be working with other engineers, product owners, and site reliability engineers to ensure that product specifications are well thought out to meet market needs with respect to functionality, performance, scalability, and reliability.

Must have:

• Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in a hands-on data-centric role in data engineering, architecture, streaming or warehousing.
• Experience with at least one relational database technology (MySQL, Postgres, MS SQL, etc.).
• Proficient with SQL
• Ability to perform data analysis and data profiling 
• Experience in schema validation and Extract, Load, Transform (ETL) testing
• Experience in testing analytics reports

Nice to have:

• Ability to perform data analysis and data profiling 
• Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Looker, Pyramid) 
• Experience with load testing
• Experience with any modern programming language (Python, Java)
• Experience working in an agile environment such as Scrum or Kanban
• Experience with SnowFlake and Airflow is a plus
• Experience integrating with Global Distribution Systems (GDS) technologies not required, but a strong plus.
