The Data Science team’s mission is to leverage data to understand, identify, and execute, accelerating the journey toward building a novel, powerful, and useful AI voice product for Facebook. Projects our DS work on range from broad user and ecosystem understanding, strategic planning and product goal setting, as well as diving deep on specific applications or the engagement of our users. There are product areas, like Portal and VR, where the voice feature is already shipped and we’re continuing to build on that, while there are many other areas like new HW products that are still early in the product development phase. This team is focused on helping the product team scope out new opportunities, define success across the overall product ecosystem and each product area individually, as well as understand how AI voice products can contribute to our mission to increase meaningful connections.

This leader will drive the DS team into more experimentation with broad hypothesis areas and determine how we are going to test and then push DS into product development. Given the phase of the products, there’s a lot of testing and pivoting and product re-scoping as we find the right path and product features.

We are looking for a hands-on Data Science Manager with strong product sense, technical and communication skills. You will partner with cross-functional stakeholders (Product, Eng, Content, Programming, Design) to tackle challenging analytical, statistical, and experimentation problems. The insights that you derive will guide crucial strategic decisions about the future of AI voice products at Facebook. Success will be measured by this person’s ability to influence product leaders to make more data and growth driven decisions to ultimately establish and strengthen a true partnership.
