This role is based full-time in Kirkland, Washington and we are happy to help new folks relocate to this wonderful, tech-savvy city!

As a Data Scientist, you will help to solve a variety of technical challenges. Since this is an early-stage effort in a startup environment, you will play an active role in translating business requirements into elegant and beautiful solutions and dig into abundant service data and real user feedback to distillate business insights to facilitate our growth in partnership with other passionate people in the team. You will work with a team of highly skilled and motivated scientists and engineers, with the mission to build smart living for everyone, using machine learning and deep learning and solving problems in computer vision, sound detection, and speech recognition. As part of your job, you will collect the requirements, define the problems, design the algorithms, conduct in-depth data analysis and provide data-driven insights to drive our feature iteration and experience improvement.

A Look Inside the Role:

• Help to invent and build AI data platforms for monitoring and understanding the performance of our AI production features, identifying growth potentials and facilitating data-driven decisions.
• Collaborate with data engineers and software developers on building data pipelines to ingest, process and analyze data that are important to construct AI models.
• Collaborate with product managers on AI feature engagement understanding and user experience improvement.
• Be proactive in understanding and questioning the quality of the provided data. Provide ways to associate data distributed in different landscapes that is needed for building more advanced AI models.
• Be proactive in diving deep on the strengths and weaknesses of production models, based on incomplete data through multiple channels.

You Already Have These Qualifications and Love What You Do:

• MS or PhD in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or related fields.
• 2+ years of experience working in data science in the AI/Machine learning domain to solve practical problems.
• Knowledge and practices of designing data processing pipeline and statistical data analysis.
• Experience managing complex data sources and ability to distill knowledge from unstructured data.
• Proficiency with scripting language for managing large datasets, such as Python, R, SQL or Matlab.
• AI/ML project experience and understanding of common ML algorithms.

And Even Better if the Following Applies to You:

• Advanced knowledge with data sourcing, processing and modeling skills.
• Skilled with big data analysis and visualization tools such as Snowflake, Databricks and Tableau.
• Experience in working with large-scale distributed machine learning algorithms, frameworks, and systems.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, ability to communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to prioritize and strategize in a variety of project areas and deal with ambiguity in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
• Solid experience in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or Google Cloud.
