We are currently seeking a talented Data Scientist to work in our Data Science department at our headquarters in Seattle, WA.

What you will be doing: We are looking for a curious data/research scientist to help drive business insights and build consumer-facing cannabis product and recommendation tools. 

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement product recommendation systems for our end users
• Proactively analyze data and conduct research to provide unseen business insights
• Work across Data, Product, and Marketing teams to provide actionable insights that enable data-driven decisions
• Help educate and inform colleagues at all levels of company in order to foster a data-driven company culture

Qualifications:

• 2+ experience working with analytics or data science teams. 
• A deep passion for data analysis and quantitative thinking, as well as demonstrated ability to use this passion to drive actionable business insights.
• Ability to think critically and work on open-ended problems.
• Demonstrated in excellence in programming, with a strong preference for Python and SQL.
• Demonstrated background in statistical and quantitative analysis, including regression, classification, and statistical modeling.
• Develop custom data models and algorithms and apply to various internal data sets.
• Background in recommender systems preferred, including requisite knowledge of data mining and machine learning techniques such as kNN, clustering algorithms, dimensionality reduction, etc. applied to classification and prediction problems. 
• Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to work and collaborate across both data and non-data teams.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently, conduct exploratory research, and solve open-ended problems.
• Exceptional candidates will have the above skills, as well enthusiasm and knowledge of cannabis and cannabis products, and excellent Super Smash Bros. capabilities.
