Primary Responsibilities

• Write and enhance database objects (sprocs, views, triggers etc.)
• Handles data requests (bulk updates/insertions and fixes)
• Handles scripted database deployments
• Ensures the SQL server is running smoothly, including synchronization via SSIS, and can troubleshoot when problems arise
• Handles database backup and recovery
• Ensures adequate production support coverage is provided during and after normal working hours, including rotation for On Call Support pager
• Collaborates on or leads development of technical design and specifications as required
• Ensures coding, testing, and documentation tasks are successfully performed for new application development as well as enhancements to existing system functionality
• Supports the QA group in developing and executing test plans and test scripts
• Codes, tests and documents new applications as well as changes to existing system functionality

• BA or BS Degree required, preferably in computer science or related field
• 5-7 years SQL Server experience
• 3-5 years software development experience (preferably Python and/or C#)
• Very strong SQL Server administration skills required – SQL 2017 preferred
• Very strong SQL Server development skills (T-SQL, architecture)
• Solid understanding of software development lifecycle
• Strong experience documenting development work
