System1’s Analytics group supports a diverse collection of teams, products, and business units, ensuring decisions at every level are made with data-driven insight. We are looking for an Analytics leader to be a key driver of insight and strategic thinking. The primary responsibility of the Analytics leader is to provide analytics-based strategic insights and directions to drive product growth and accelerate performance marketing initiatives. The role will also lead a team of data analysts and will focus on strategic alignment of data analysts within our organization, and provide professional and technical mentoring.
You will optimize the team’s day-to-day performance using data analysis, and use your analytical skills to find and present potentially business-changing solutions. Not only will you be a problem-solver, but you’ll also be a problem-finder. You’ll need to be a fast learner and a self-starter with strong critical-thinking abilities. You’ll analyze data from a variety of sources, using proprietary and industry-leading tools and platforms. And you’ll work with teams across business units and of varying expertise, gaining a well-rounded understanding of all things System1.
What You Can Expect On Our Team
- Partner with stakeholders across the organization to create scalable and production-grade AI/ML products and bring consistent approach to solving complex business problems
- Lead and mentor a growing team of data analysts, partner with recruiting to execute on growth strategies, and strategically align skill-sets
- Evaluate current applications of first-party data and work with teams throughout the org to build new solutions that leverage this data across the business
- Be an analytics thought leader and develop innovative data solutions
- Become a subject matter expert when it comes to System1’s data infrastructure, and share knowledge to improve stakeholder understanding of technological capabilities
- Design and execute analytical plans for driving product growth and marketing innovation
- Maintain an awareness of current research and standard methodologies in the field of data science, experimentation, and measurement - including, best practices in analytics and changes in the landscape that would impact System1's performance
What You Can Bring to the Team
- 8-10 + years experience leading analytics projects from defining KPIs to communicating findings, and interfacing with high-level stakeholders within the business
- 4 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience leading teams, projects, programs or directing the allocation of resources
- Expert-level understanding of SQL and proficiency with Python, R and other statistical means of data analysis
- Thorough understanding of data warehousing technologies, and how to use them to their full potential such as: Snowflake, AWS, Azure, Google Cloud
- Strong experience with statistical methodologies and techniques (e.g., ML, regressions, group differences)
- Team leadership experience in a quantitative field. Strong data visualization skills and ability to breakdown complex data sets for technical and non-technical audiences
- Proactive stakeholder communication and the ability to manage projects independently while collaborating with your team on bigger initiatives
- Master’s degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Business Analytics, Data Science, etc.
- Experience managing multiple senior stakeholders, prioritizing across a multitude of responsibilities, and allocating resources to drive maximum impact
