Director of Enterprise Data Culture & Communications
Introduction to the Enterprise Data Strategy Team
At Liberty Mutual, we are on a data journey. We have been hard at work assessing our data capabilities across business units and building a perspective on where enterprise data investments could help us be more efficient or effective. What we learned is that winning with data is a strategic imperative for all business units and departments to compete; however, data teams have been working independently to elevate their game to a "Foundational Level" and beyond with varying success. Building "Enterprise Level" capabilities would add value in two ways: (1) by leveraging enterprise context and expertise to drive efficiency and effectiveness across all business units and (2) by potentially unlocking new value by executing select use cases at the enterprise level. Given our learnings, we are excited to announce the creation of an Enterprise Data Strategy Team. The focus of this team, in tight partnership with our enterprise data technology partners, will be on maturing our data fundamentals (especially in the areas of data strategy, data governance, and data talent) and partnering with our Business Unit data teams and others to drive progress on Enterprise use cases.
