Job Summary
LevelTen seeks a dedicated, experienced professional to contribute to the company’s very sophisticated analytical efforts. The Energy Market Analyst will be responsible for designing and developing quantitative models and translating this analysis to sales & marketing teams as well as next generation technology products. This position operates out of the Seattle headquarters.
Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities include but, are not limited to:
- Helping construct quantitative models to better forecast risk and value of energy related financial products;
- Providing support to sales team by translating analysis to impeccable presentation ready form.
- Building next generation analytical tools by translating analytical frameworks to code.
- Facilitating data collection/scraping; formatting and pushing this data into LevelTen’s data warehouse.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have:
- A bachelor’s degree in a math, computer science, engineering, or related area of study, receiving high marks across the board;
- A strong interest in energy and financial markets;
- Excellent statistical skills;
- Coding experience with an emphasis on python, R, and/or javascript; Database or machine learning experience a plus;
- Strong Excel/Powerpoint skills. Tableau data visualization experience a plus;
- Experience working in the energy/utility industry preferred with an emphasis in renewables or wholesale markets; Sustainability or clean-tech experience a plus, but not required;
- Outstanding written and oral communication aptitude;
- An intellectual curiosity around instigating progress;
- Exceptional ability to work productively with a high degree of self-belief in a team setting;
- A work style that lends to a natural bias for action;
- The highest level of integrity and professionalism.
