About the Role: 

We are seeking an exceptional leader for our Business Intelligence team. You will collaborate closely with analytics, business and development teams to build scalable business intelligence systems that will be used across the company. You will tackle some of our most important problems and delve deep into our products and the behaviors of our millions of users.

In this role you will: 

• Manage, coach and lead a high performing team
• Own and thoughtfully refine the BI roadmap to take advantage of rapid advances in the data warehousing and analytics industry
• Collect and synthesize BI problems and requirements from across the organization, working closely with product managers, developers and other stakeholders
• Architect BI solutions in collaboration with analytics, business and development teams
• Build out infrastructure to consolidate data and events from many disparate sources, making it available for batch and realtime processing
• Champion data integrity in both data collection and transformation
• Advance and then maintain high quality code development, review and documentation standards across the entire Analytics team
• Maintain a high quality self-service reporting interface for internal users

You may be the right fit if you have: 

• 5+ years experience in BI / data warehousing development
• Experience mentoring and leading BI Engineers
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline - or equivalent experience
• Strong project management and organizational skills
• Ability to translate business needs into technical specifications
• Ability to independently research and solve complex technical problems
• Drive and sense of urgency in rooting out data errors, issues and inconsistencies
• Proficiency in the development of automated ETL processes (both through the use of automation tools like Stitch and manual scripting)
• Development experience in at least one programming language (Python, Ruby, Java etc)
• Expert level knowledge of SQL and dimensional modeling
• Experience with AWS and Google Cloud is desirable
• Experience with Web analytics data and tools (e.g. Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager) desirable
• Experience with Looker or similar BI tools desirable
