WISErg Corporation (WISErg), based in Redmond, WA, is a bio-tech Company established in 2010. As its first line of products, it has developed and globally distributes a new generation of organic agriculture products that are used to grow the food of the future. The Company’s products are fully sustainable and derived from food waste which is then manufactured using a patented zero-waste biological digestive process that retains greater than 90% of the nutrient value in the food inputs. The Company is entering its third year of commercial sales and has an aggressive domestic and international growth strategy. Commercial growers use the Company’s products to improve production yields, reduce handling and labor costs, and improve soil health.
Job Summary
The Research Associate acts as the Company’s resource for laboratory and greenhouse trials. This role is responsible for managing greenhouse operations and plays a pivotal role in developing new products. They will be part of the WISErg Science Team. A successful candidate will be able to support cross-functional needs of the Science team and serve as a trusted resource for quality scientific information.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

- Provides leadership and creativity throughout the scientific process.
- Designs bench-top and greenhouse trials that adequately test products to obtain significant results.
- Serves as part of the team driving new product development.
- Manages research progress and maintains careful records of all scientific experiments.
- Conducts trials efficiently and effectively in a quality manner with minimal supervision. Identifies problems and opportunities as they relate to new product development, data analysis, protocols, and product improvements.
- Evaluates and interprets trial findings and perform basic statistical analyses on the data.
- Communicates scientific findings with the Science Team and to other key stakeholders.
- Assists Science team members with cross-functional research including, but not limited to, Quality Control, Regulatory, and Field Trials.

Education and Experience
- MS in in biology, soil science, horticulture, crop sciences, plant sciences, or agronomy.
- 2 years of experience working in a laboratory setting.
- Knowledge and experience with greenhouse maintenance
