The Role

  • As a Senior Analyst on our Strategic Services team, you’ll use data to help the world’s most-loved B2C brands serve their customers. You will support our clients, prospects, and internal customers’ analytics needs by leveraging Amperity’s technology to unlock valuable customer insights. You’ll dive deep into data from a wide range of industries and have the opportunity to generate insights from newly unified data silos. And you’ll use your business knowledge and deep technical expertise to develop customer-centric analyses that power new customer experiences.

Interesting Problems

  • Consult with leaders from major consumer brands to identify opportunities, trends, and valuable segments that help them drive business value and realize the full potential of their customer data
  • Lead clients through their digital transformations by helping them identify opportunities to connect and leverage customer data for holistic customer insights
  • Work directly with major B2C brands to identify and size strategic opportunities to grow their business
  • Solve analytically challenging problems, develop customer-centric KPIs, and generate insights that showcase the value Amperity provides
  • Help inform product direction as an Amperity power user

About You

  • Minimum 3 years experience in a quantitative analysis and/or data science role, preferably in customer analytics for retail, travel and hospitality, or another direct-to-consumer business
  • Demonstrated ability to independently plan and execute repeatable analyses, distill and present results to senior management, and recommend actionable strategy
  • Strong communicator who easily bridges the gap between data and business owners
  • Creative thinker, adept at imagining new business use cases and identifying the data necessary to make them a reality
  • Experience working with large datasets
  • Excellent SQL skills with experience using statistical computer languages (Python, R, PySpark, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from large datasets
  • Experience creating executive-level dashboards using visualization tools like Tableau
  • Ability to develop predictive models using a ML framework such as MLlib, H20 or scikit-learn a distinct plus
  • Demonstrated success working in a fast-paced, swiftly-changing startup environment
  • BA/BS/MS in Math, Economics, Statistics, or other quantitative field (advanced degrees are a plus)
  • Ability to travel (15%)
