The world’s leading game engine is looking for a Senior Data Infrastructure Engineer to help develop the greatest and largest computer gaming cloud infrastructure. You will be part of a premier engineering team tasked with securely and reliably delivering packaged and “ready-to-scale” services to our internal and external customers. With a commitment to your customers, you will use your outstanding development skills to deliver compelling solutions in an incremental, lean, and self-driven environment. 

Responsibilities

• Within your scrum team, you will design and review software solutions for critical parts of our infrastructure ecosystem
• In a hybrid development methodology, you will own all aspects of software development from writing and reviewing code, to quality and test-automation
• Through proper planning and delivery, you will collaboratively work within your scrum team to deliver the best cloud experience to our customers

Requirements

• BS/MS in computer science (or equivalent) with extensive software engineering experience
• Ability to write clear design specs, mentor senior and junior engineers and guide projects from beginning to end
• Understanding of infrastructure systems and architecture and ability to explain the strengths and weaknesses of a particular solution over another
• Experience with the development of resilient and distributed services, across many geographical areas with stringent performance and availability requirements
• Ability to handle ambiguity in terms defining technical and business problems
• Experience with the following technologies: Go, Java, C/++; Hadoop-related technologies (HDFS, Spark, Hive); Kafka/Zookeeper; Internal networking; Linux internals; Hashicorp tools (Terraform, Packer, Consul, Vault, Nomad); MongoDB; Cassandra

Bonus points

• Experience working with a distributed team
• Familiarity with Cloudera
• Experience building applications and infrastructure services across multiple cloud providers such as AWS and GCP along with bare metal
