  • Prioritize our team direction with quantitative understanding of our customers through analysis, reporting/dashboarding, and experimentation
  • Perform deep research investigations into quantitative questions, and weave those findings into an effective narrative actionable by cross-functional partners
  • Present metrics and research findings to all levels of the company, including regularly to the VP level and C-Suite, to inform critical decisions and drive shared understanding of customer behavior and business channel performance
  • Co-own our analytics roadmap to partner with, guide, and enable our 3-5 year product vision

  • A self-started mentality and ability to operate in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment
  • 3+ years analyst or related experience; a combination of business and product experience is preferred
  • Strong analytical, critical thinking and strategic problem-solving skills, with the ability to deal with ambiguity and cut through complexity
  • A foundational understanding of statistical techniques such as regression, predictive modeling, forecasting, time series analysis, and clustering and an ability apply those techniques to answer business needs
  • Strong business and financial acumen with ability to ask the right questions and balance thinking big with simple solutions and pragmatic execution
  • Strong verbal and written communication and data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
  • Strong SQL skills and a working understanding of databases, ETL processes, and data modeling
  • Demonstrated experience with business intelligence and analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Python, etc.)

An Insider's view of Chewy

What’s the vibe like in the office?

Fast paced! We work in "doggy-years" here. It's a place where talent and hard work is valued and where team members can think big and can bring their dreams to life.

Greg

Senior Technical Recruiter

What projects are you most excited about?

I'd say our new onboarding program, which educates and immerses Chewy’s new hires in our business, mission, and Operating Principles. I hope new Chewtopians walk away from our revamped onboarding experience with a deeper understanding of what makes Chewy special and that it helps them build connections with their fellow new team members.

Victoria

Senior Talent Manager

What are some things you learned at the company?

Creating a work environment that is accessible to everyone attracts a diverse talent pool and unlocks talents and skills that might not be available otherwise.

Mark

Sr. Accessibility Program Manager

How do you make yourself accessible to the rest of the team?

Aside from the standard 1x1s and team meetings: 24/7 via text, email, chat, voice and during business hours by walking around the office engaging in conversation, listening to current challenges and proposed solutions.

Mike

VP, Software Engineering

What’s the vibe like in the office?

My favorite Operating Principle here at Chewy is “Debate Openly, Commit Fully.” It makes me comfortable having passionate disagreements with my coworkers about a project when appropriate, knowing that we can have a (zoom) beer later that day and feel OK about it. Every company strives for that culture, and it's a part of our DNA at Chewy.

Zack

Senior Product Manager
