We are looking for a Full-stack Software Development Engineer to help us evolve and grow TUNE's Reporting & Data Visualization team. We have a number of active projects to expand our Partner Marketing Platform, and we're looking for a Full-stack engineer to help us build great analytics experiences for our users and establish great practices for how we develop our customer-facing analytics software.

We have a major initiative to evolve the way we display performance marketing insights to our customers, allowing them the ability to visualize and explore data about their marketing relationships, and this role will be instrumental in building the systems and interfaces to make that possible. We currently have a small, but exceptional team of engineers, product managers and UX designers that you’ll be working with to design and deliver on our Reporting platform initiatives.

The technology stack we live in day to day is built in PHP, JavaScript, React/Redux and Go. Our systems utilize Docker on Kubernetes for ease of development, testing and deployment, with heavy use of both MySQL and Snowflake for data storage & warehousing. We use Agile principles to guide our decisions and AWS to run our infrastructure. On this infrastructure, we have a robust customer base that sends us tens of billions of events a month, with programs and businesses built on top of our APIs.

You will collaborate with product managers and fellow engineers to design and deliver solutions from start to finish. The ideal fit for this role is an analytical, motivated and flexible engineer that is passionate about learning and evolving an existing tech stack, as well as growing their own skills, to deliver enhanced data insights to our customers.

You'll be responsible for...

• Architecting efficient and reusable software that drives complex SaaS style web applications
• Collaborating with Product Managers, Product Designers, and Software Engineers to define user experiences and deliver significant projects
• Taking ownership of the quality of our software, advancing our technology stack, upholding best practices, and optimizing our internal development processes
• Using your expertise to shape the roadmap for our team and the product
• Conveying all task progress, evaluations, estimations, schedules along with technical and process issues in an Agile development environment
• Refactoring, optimizing and improving our existing code bases, to allow for maintenance and scale
• 24/7 support (as part of a low page volume rotation) for our Reporting systems (performance and up-time of internal APIs + Front-Ends)

What You'll Need

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering OR great relevant experience
• Strong proficiency in PHP and JavaScript/React, with some proficiency in Go
• Expertise with modern JavaScript patterns, frameworks and tools
• History of evolving an existing technology stack (not just greenfield work)
• Ability to actively diagnose issues and optimize our software and systems implementations
• SQL development experience, with tilt towards data warehousing/OLAP/reporting query patterns
• Some experience building scalable and maintainable solutions on AWS or other cloud providers using tools such as Docker, Git and Kubernetes
• Familiarity with modern data visualization tools (Tableau, PowerBI, Sisense, Looker, Apache Superset, etc) a plus
