About the Role
ServiceNow is looking for a Staff Sourcing Analyst for Cloud Infrastructure who wants to make their mark on a growing organization. This position will provide supply management and procurement for all gears into our datacenters with a focus on server and server components. This individual will lead supplier relationships, defining the category and supply base strategy, including influencing hardware technology roadmap to meet our Cloud requirement, driving continual cost optimization and ensuring continuity of supply.
What you get to do in this role:
- Conduct market research for Server, server components cost trend
- Partner with cloud Networking Engineer, Capacity Engineer and other key stakeholders to understand their needs. Develop, own and execute the sourcing strategy inclusive of supplier selection/development, technology roadmap and key success criteria
- Execute approved Category Strategic Plan, resulting in meeting/exceeding targets: savings, efficiencies, supplier consolidation, supplier satisfaction, and contractual risk
- Strong advanced negotiator of HW cost with knowledge of best practices, benchmarking for each vertical and savings opportunities
- Ensure creation of robust negotiation strategies and cost targets through understanding of market dynamics, benchmarks and cost trends. Create forward looking cost projections and measure performance to actuals
- Foster the partnership with engineering & business partners to identify/influence design and technology selection
In order to be successful in this role, we need someone who has:
- Server or server components related engineering or sourcing experience.
- Use data to present negotiation strategy, recommend negotiation positions and successfully negotiate with vendors to achieve desired positions
- Communicates category vision and strategies for server commodities and is accountable for business results, including budget impact.
- Experience managing supply chain effectively: supply planning and material management, risk mitigation, opportunity analysis and identification, supplier performance management as a plus
- Proven ability to drive positive change and build strong stakeholder relationships.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across multi-functional teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- 8+ years’ experience in a Procurement/Sourcing role.
