Yesler is looking for a talented Graphic Designer to join our rapidly growing team!

The Graphic Designer will work closely with functional areas and related to the Social team. You will interact with a mix of production artists, visual designers, strategists, community managers, writers, editors, art directors, and project managers. At times, you will collaborate with internal and external clients.

You will have the opportunity to provide and visually develop concepts, specifically for social content. In doing so you will effectively create, extend, and communicate a client's brand and message; develop and execute on approved concepts; and produce and deliver high-quality work within designated timelines. You will design and develop social collateral for a digital environment, keeping user experience at the forefront of design.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand Yesler's creative service offering in a holistic way and offer recommendations as needed
  • Provide concepts, designs, and execution in appropriate formats and media of creative work
  • Maintain knowledge/experience of design and marketing to an interactive audience
  • Collaborate with account directors, project managers, strategists, designers, writers, editors, developers, and consultants
  • Meet with PMs/clients to understand and make recommendations on project parameters, goals, and tactics
  • Understand and execute creative work on multiple brands
  • Incorporate feedback, both internally and externally, to align work with the company and client goals
  • Uphold the Social team's standards and the process of concept development and asset creation
  • Keep up with creative trends and technologies
  • Be part of an ambitious, collaborative, and productive work environment

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Graphic Arts, Multimedia Arts, and/or Interactive Design preferred
  • 2-5 years of experience with increased responsibility as a graphic designer in an advertising agency, studio, or corporate marketing environment with emphasis on digital experience
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, InDesign, Acrobat) and Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
  • Experience in creating executive-level presentations preferred
  • Understanding of visual integration in social platforms, including micro-content, infographics, and interactive design
  • Photography experience (shooting, lighting, studio photography, and photo-editing) is ideal
  • Experience shooting and editing video (Adobe Premiere)
  • Experience working in a digital realm, including an understanding of user experience, limitations, and areas to strengthen through design
  • Experience with standards-compliant web design tools, such as HTML, XHTML, CSS, and other XML based applications preferred
  • Proficiency with design on Apple platform with extensive knowledge of PC environments
  • Broad technical knowledge of the creative and production process for a marketing agency, including reproduction, offset printing, various forms of specialty imaging, secure printing techniques, and photography
  • Expertise in color theory, composition, and typography
  • Solid knowledge of market research, trends, and rationale, and experience in social media is preferred
  • Strong team member, positive, and an innovative thinker
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills: kindness, open-mindedness, active listening and effective negotiation skills, receptive to feedback, ability to handle constructive criticism without taking it personally, awareness of others opinions, ability to state opinions in a clear, respectful, and helpful manner
