Role Description
If you have a passion for designing experiences that make the most daunting of tasks delightful, we want to hear from you! Dropbox is looking for a Product Designer to join our HelloSign team.
You will collaborate with our Product, Design, Research, Content Design, and Engineering teams to help us achieve our mission to simplify work by automating document workflows.

Since we value and are already well-known for a UX that makes getting documents signed incredibly easy, you will have significant impact in crafting the future of the product that our customers love. You are committed to helping us maintain this ease of use while our product evolves and innovative features are added.

This role offers an opportunity to work across two key areas of HelloSign—API and Synergies. API is focused on delivering a great developer experience. We will be designing a new developer dashboard to enable our users to view the most important and up to date information at a glance and redesigning our existing developer documentation. On the Synergies side, we will continue to build, enable, and reimagine the full HelloSign experience within Dropbox.
Responsibilities
  • Design the user experience of HelloSign product(s):
    • Research user and business objectives in collaboration with Researchers and Product Managers
    • Translate user needs and business objectives into designs that help our customers get the job done
    • Prototype and test the need for, or efficacy of, a solution.
  • Gather feedback and analyze the overall efficacy of launched solutions to identify pain points and iterate.
  • Plan and contribute to roadmap definition for your area in collaboration with cross-functional partners
  • Collaborate with your Engineers, Product Managers, Content Designers, Researchers, and leadership team to launch the best experience to customers
  • Contribute to elevating the design process, quality, and community at HelloSign and Dropbox
Requirements
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and product complexity
  • Comfortable working on the end-to-end design process, from research to launch
  • Portfolio showing ability to simplify complex products with easy-to-use features and a modern, polished visual design style
  • Ability to make informed design decisions and articulate them simply
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional partners
  • Know how to balance customer, business needs, and technical feasibility
  • 7+ years of experience working as a UX or Product Designer
  • Experience working on a technical or B2B product a plus, but not required

An Insider's view of Dropbox

How would you describe the company’s work-life balance?

In the first time in over a decade, I’ve been able to actually have work life balance and to develop healthy habits because of Virtual First. My commute time is now filled with a morning workout and the end of my day now looks like being able to cook for myself. I also was able to move closer to family, which means the world to me.

Caitlin

Diversity Program Manager

What's the biggest problem your team is solving?

In a world that’s radically shifting virtual, it’s exciting to be at a company aiming to solve a lot of the problems at the crux of the transition. I’ve been working on projects that help small businesses using Dropbox collaborate and improve their overall user experience.

Micah

Software Engineer

How has your career grown since starting at the company?

Dropbox truly invests in their employees and supports internal mobility. Each year I’ve worked at Dropbox, my role has changed slightly. It’s kept me engaged, challenged me, and allowed me to constantly be in a learning environment.

Hannah

Project Manager

What is your vision for the company?

I see the 40-hour office workweek becoming a thing of the past. Employees will escape grueling commutes and gain more control over their day. The workplace will now be wherever work happens, and the workweek will be whenever work happens best for each person. We'll grow stronger as we integrate dispersed talent with diverse perspectives.

Drew

Co-founder and CEO

How does the company support your career growth?

There’s always an opportunity to pivot and learn new skills or internally transfer to a team that’s outside your normal scope of work. The humility and empathy that Dropboxers have is unlike anywhere else I’ve worked. There’s always going to be someone on the other side willing to bring you in on a project or mentor you.

Mack
