About the Role


We are seeking a talented Senior Digital Media Designer with a diverse video production background and a passion for all things animated to join our growing company. We need a digital media design expert who can take complex ideas and concepts and turn them into easily digestible and eye-catching pixel-perfect visuals that help transform the way millions of people work.  You will collaborate on the video team while partnering with marketing, sales, and account development to create compelling digital media for both internal and external audiences. The right candidate will be involved in projects from any point between concept through delivery. This includes brainstorming, scripting, storyboarding, video production, design, motion, editing, and final delivery.

What You’ll Do

  • Conceptualize and create engaging animated digital media (infographics, explainer videos, visual overlays, lower thirds, video wall, etc.)
  • Collaborate with stakeholders and video team to execute deliverables through all phases of production (storyboard, animatic, design, motion, and final product) 
  • Edit wide variety of video projects (help content, case studies, product tours, etc)
  • Manage several assignments concurrently and maintain professional, prompt, and comprehensive communications with senior leadership throughout 
  • Participate in and help drive creative brainstorm sessions and ideation exercises 
  • Defend conceptual direction while also being able to listen to and synthesize other opinions, being open to changing direction should timeline / constraints dictate 
  • Adhere to Highspot’s overall brand guidelines while maintaining consistency of video and visual assets

Your Background

  • 5+ years video production experience, preferably in a creative agency or production company setting. 
  • Online portfolio with outstanding video reel demonstrating proficiency across a wide range of motion graphics skills and applications, as well as a wide-range of video projects (help videos, story-drive marketing content, product feature highlights, customer testimonials, social ads, etc) 
  • Expert-level video editor within Final Cut Pro
  • Expert level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop) 
  • Video production experience (filming, sound, lighting, live streaming, etc.) and experience using a wide range of related equipment (green screen, gimbal, slider, drones, etc) 
  • Strong motion graphics experience and understanding of animation principles (timing, physics, staging, follow through, appeal, etc.) 
  • Experience with Camtasia screen capture software preferred
  • Knowledge of video industry standards and formats, and media management best practices
  • Experience with pre-production materials such as script writing, storyboarding, shot lists, and animatics 
  • Strong understanding of video post-processing techniques (color correcting, keying, masking, overlays)
  • Ability to work in an agile environment in an entrepreneurial setting with minimal supervision and multiple projects under tight deadlines 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 
  • Patient, understanding, and ego-free
  • 3D animation and experience with programs such as Cinema 4D a plus 
  • Knowledge of web/UI animation (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) a plus

Our HQ is located within walking distance of Pike Place Market and the Seattle Piers. With amazing 360 views of the Puget Sound and Downtown Seattle. The only downside, there are almost too many places to pick for your lunch meetings.
