The Role

At Outreach, our product philosophy is to focus on what makes our end users, sales professional, wildly successful. As a Senior Product Designer at Outreach, you have a profound impact on the way customers like Dropbox, Adobe, Zendesk and Workday move through their daily selling experience. You’ll work with a tight-knit product and engineering team to meaningfully iterate on our core product capabilities, as well as design & implement new products.

This is a role for a true craftsperson who is excited by the opportunity to design fluid and connected experiences for end-users who love the product and spend most of their working day in Outreach.

Your Daily Adventures Will Include

  • Learning how salespeople work, how they use Outreach to engage their customers in the context of a sales workflow, and understanding customer usage patterns across the Outreach application
  • Developing information architecture, interaction models, customer flows, schematics and visual design
  • Communicating design concepts and strategies with thoughtfulness and confidence
  • Participating in many dimensions of product development - from greenfield product concepts to the extension of current capabilities, to iterative design on core product
  • Using both quantitative data and qualitative research to understand friction in user workflows and prototype solutions
  • Contributing to the Outreach design system framework
  • Collaborating with product and engineering on defining MVP
  • Working with the User Research function, manage customer interviews, validate design concepts and conduct usability studies
  • Seeking out feedback and iterating gracefully
  • Mentoring junior product designers, and contributing to a vibrant design culture focused on continuous improvement

Basic Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional UX/product design experience
  • Experience as lead or primary product designer for a major feature area and are comfortable bringing a strong and informed design point of view to the product team
  • Enthusiasm for working in tightly integrated agile teams where collaboration and idea generation are part of the rhythm
  • Process for working across the full spectrum of product design, from early research, vision, information architecture to detailed specifications
  • Experience working on complex workflow products a plus!
