Our Fashion Marketing team is looking for a passionate Senior UX designer to build engaging experiences for the customers of Amazon Fashion. We expect our ideal candidate to be a self-starter, marrying together proven experience in UX and visual design. This role will have a significant impact on the Amazon Fashion business by leading creation of best-in-class customer experiences via social media, mobile, on-site, editorial, traditional, email, and digital marketing initiatives. For the right candidate, the role presents an opportunity to shape the perception of Amazon as a global fashion destination by creating compelling cross-channel experiences for customers and key industry influencers. We are looking for someone with a roll-up-your-sleeves, entrepreneurial approach to solving complex problems. The role will involve working collaboratively with engineering, product management, executive leadership, and top influencers in the fashion industry, while leading design throughout the development lifecycle.

RESPONSIBILITIES
· Own development of UX strategy to drive key business outcomes
· Create comprehensive user workflows and layouts that support and reinforce business objectives; partner with the Amazon Fashion business/marketing teams to ensure that designs meet brand and business objectives.
· Follow market trends and apply a keen understanding of the apparel marketplace; keep abreast of trends and directions in promotion that will keep Amazon Fashion on the leading edge.
· Contribute to the overall Softlines user experience and UI functionality-responsive design across various platform and devices (desktop, tablet, and mobile, etc.).
· Design beautiful, useful, and desirable user interfaces and experiences
· Create user-centered designs by considering market analysis, customer feedback, metrics, and usability findings
· Design the architecture, interface, and interaction flow of applications and experiences
· Develop conceptual diagrams, wireframes, visual mockups, click-throughs, and prototypes
· Develop and maintain detailed user-interface specifications and design patterns
· Work with product and technical partners for effective delivery while maintaining high standards for design
· Be a passionate advocate for design with non-design audiences

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Experience as a UX designer, interaction designer, or product designer or related
· Bachelor’s degree in design, human-computer interaction (HCI), or equivalent degree
· Portfolio of work samples demonstrating ability to create customer experiences across a range of touch-points; including problems you helped solve for, your contributions, and impact to the customer
· Proficiency in design software such as Sketch and Adobe Creative Suite

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Experienced in best practices for information architecture and interaction design, user-centered design process, as well as strong knowledge of user experience principles, techniques and patterns
· Strong verbal communication and presentation skills
· Demonstrated history of acquiring user data (e.g., conducting usability studies, performing user research)
· Experience with UX design for complex consumer-facing workflows
· Experience working in a collaborative team and working directly with developers for implementation of designs
· Experienced in delivering UX solutions for projects of large scope and complexity
· Ability to prototype in HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
· Master’s Degree in Human Computer Interaction (HCI), Design, or a related field, or commensurate industry experience
