The Challenge

Are you a skilled UI Designer with who can build and maintain high quality assets? Do you have the passion to identify and solve complex problems? If you said 'yes', this is the role for you!

As a Technical UI Designer on our team, you will build a cohesive and engaging user experience, adhering to a style gude. This role collaborates with Designers, Artists, Producers, and Engineers to build a spectacular player experience. A successful teammate in this role is proactive, highly collaborative, and resourceful.

What You’ll Take On

  • Translate provided wireframes into Unity prefab structures and propose data inputs into the prefabs.
  • Create clear documentation on how prefabs are built and organized to facilitate UX/UI Designers with styling and building on prefabs.
  • Build modular prefabs to facilitate rapid prototyping.
  • Work with UX/UI Design to identify UI design needs and collaborate with engineering to ensure those needs are met.
  • Implement special presentation behavior, fix layout issues, and debug problems.
  • Think of localization and accessibility needs and address those into the prefab creation process.
  • Be a logical, detailed problem solver, communicating clearly and succinctly across technical and non-technical departments.

What You Bring

  • Extensive experience in Unity implementation in a game development setting
  • Proven ability implementing a fully functional and visually polished game UI
  • Practical understanding of UX methodology and mechanics
  • A strong communicator and problem solver.
  • An understanding of graphics optimization and engine constraints
  • Strong organizational skills, able to follow established conventions

The pay range for this position in Washington at the start of employment is expected to be between $60,000 and $90,000 per year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.   Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards and eligibility to participate in our 401(K) plan, in addition to a full range of medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees will also receive 14 paid holidays per calendar year, are eligible to earn a minimum of 15 days of vacation leave per year (subject to proration based on start date during the calendar year) and will receive 10 sick days per calendar year.  Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an "at-will position" and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
