Pivotal’s Holographic Beamforming Antenna system is a customizable and very flexible product solution that can interface with a wide variety of external products and as such the UX Designer will have a range of design responsibilities, to assist the development teams in shaping new features and visual concepts for our user interface across different device platforms. This graphical interface should be based on modern responsive frameworks such as React, including geographical mapping (e.g. Leaflet or OpenLayer). This position reports to the Director of IBMS.

Responsibilities:

•Leading efforts for user experience and interface design by researching, conceiving, wireframing, sketching, prototyping, and mocking up user experiences for various products

•Translate concepts into wireframes and mockups that lead to intuitive user experiences

•Working closely with development team on design implementation in an agile development environment

•Designing and running usability tests

•Cultivating and elevating the role of design in all projects

•Incorporating both functionality and ease of use without over complexity throughout design process

•Assisting in creation and updating of internal brand guidelines

Required Qualifications:

•5+ years of User Experience Design experience

•Experience designing enterprise-level websites, desktop software and cloud applications preferably with IoT or complex product experience

•Expertise in UX software such as Sketch, Axure, Omnigraffle, or inVision. Basic HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript skills are a bonus

•Ability to work with teams to understand detailed requirements and design complete user experiences that meet their needs and vision

•Experience compiling and providing final specifications and assets to development team

•Extensive experience in using UX design best practices to design solutions, and a deep understanding of responsive design

•A solid grasp of user-centered design and testing methodologies, subsystems, and usability and accessibility concerns

•A clear understanding of the importance of user-centered design

•Be excited about collaborating and communicating closely with teams and other stakeholders via a distributed model to regularly deliver design solutions for approval

•Be passionate about all things UX and other areas of design
