The JobAs a UX Prototyper, you will use your exceptional mix of design and technical abilities to breathe life into design thinking and exploration by creating functional prototypes and user-focused experiences at various levels of fidelity to validate and prove out our best path forward in creating engaging and elegant digital entertainment experiences. You will also use your expertise to persistently seek out opportunities to create tools and define processes that support the design team. The UX Prototyper will work closely with a talented team of designers, researchers, product managers, engineers, and content executives.



The Daily
  • Work across product design to support and enhance our prototyping efforts.
  • Innovate and prototype UX solutions across platforms and devices that bring the product and brand forward in the marketplace.
  • Extend our prototyping capabilities by working with design leadership to identify, define, and advocate for prototype tooling or process opportunities.
  • Collaborate closely with designers and researchers to determine the appropriate level of prototyping effort on a feature-by-feature basis.
  • Seek user and business validation for your proposed solutions, be open and receptive to input and pivots as you prototype new experiences.
  • Work closely with a cross-functional team (design, engineering, and research) to drive progress, uphold standards, and advocate for exceptional customer experiences.
  • Work across product design to understand team needs from a tooling perspective while seeking opportunities to create and/or define processes that lead to improvements in workflow.
  • Partner with product leadership to help define, execute, and iterate on interactions, visual design patterns, and animations for our new digital ecosystem.
  • Assist research by providing technical support for usability testing as needed.
  • Find creative ways to solve UX problems (e.g. usability, findability).
  • Keep abreast of competitor products and industry trends

The Essentials

  • A minimum of 5 years' work experience in software design and development, product development, and/or consulting.
  • BA/BS degree in computer science, graphic design, design communication, human-computer interaction, or similar field.
  • Deep understanding of Javascript, HTML5, CSS, and industry-standard frameworks, libraries (React required), and tools.
  • Deep understanding of source management and build tools; git, Webpack, NPM, node.js.
  • Deep understanding of UX design principles and methodologies as they relate to software development.
  • Experience with Electron, Cordova, or similar web app wrapping platforms.
  • Experience with AWS S3, CloudFront, Route 53, and Lambda services.
  • Approach problems holistically and create elegantly simple solutions to multi-faceted problems.
  • Demonstrated experience in support of end-to-end (hybrid UX and UI) product design - Thorough with special attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and writing skills: can brainstorm with a group, articulate ideas, and tease out feedback from colleagues.
  • The ability to synthesize a lot of information to distill root causes and make informed decisions to mitigate risk.
  • A portfolio demonstrating user-centered design thinking, process, and execution across multiple experience platforms (e.g. mobile app, connected TV, web, etc.).
  • Knowledge of modern product design best practices, such as agile development and lean UX.
  • Strong problem-solver, with the ability to connect individual features to the all-up product experience.
  • Expertise in modern UX design tools, including Principal, Framer, Figma, Sketch, Photoshop, etc.
  • Proficiency in core design skills, including composition, typography, and color theory.
  • Strong listening, analytical and organizational skills with the ability to communicate and present ideas clearly.
  • An energetic, positive, and roll up your sleeve's collaborator is a must.
  • A love of television and social media, as well as a passion for staying on top of industry trends.
