The R&D UX team is looking for a UX Writer to help develop the content for our vNext UX guidelines (aka HIG) targeted at developers extending the Unity Editor. As part of our team in Bellevue, you will work closely with peers and stakeholders to create essential guidance for Unity’s growing ecosystem of developers. 

Responsibilities

  • Plan, develop, organize, write and edit the vNext HIG for Unity
  • Work closely with UX team to translate design intent, principles and directions into digestible and actionable guidelines
  • Maintain a comprehensive library of terminology and documentation
  • Analyze documents to maintain continuity of style of content
  • Manage updates and revisions to HIG
  • Author content in compliance with Unity’s writing style guide

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of industry experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree Communication, Writing or related field
  • Proven experience working in a UX Writer position
  • Ability to provide relevant work samples
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Google Docs
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Skilled at prioritization and multitasking
  • Must be a team player with a strong work ethic, ability to meet deadlines, and excellent interpersonal skills

Bonus Points

  • Experience with Unity
  • Basic HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript skills are a plus
