We are looking for a VFX Artist that shares our passion for creating worlds and the characters and creatures that fill them. This position will be part of a small VFX team responsible for creating stylized, charming, efficient special effects in addition to creating bar setting content.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with Art Director to drive and maintain high visual quality of effects
- Create stylized, appealing, efficient, visual effects for combat, world interaction, mood, and UI elements
- Create visual effects using particle systems, geometry, custom textures, flipbooks, shaders, etc.
- Basic implementation of assets
- Assist in developing the look, feel and messaging for VFX through concepts, storyboards, and animatics
QUALIFICATIONS
- At least 3 years as a VFX artist in the games industry
- Passion and ability to create stylized VFX
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Strong traditional drawing and 2D key frame animation skills
- Strong sense of animation timing
- Extensive experience with real-time particle systems
- Passion of collaboration with other artists, designers, and programmers
- Experience with: Unity, Maya, Unreal, Photoshop, Perforce
- Critical eye, self-awareness, interest in taking and giving critiques, and a desire to produce work at the highest levels of AAA quality and game performance
- Passion for games
PREFERRED
- 2D key frame animation skills
