Job Description

The Role:

The role of the Visual Designer consists of building visually engaging, creative and functional assets across a multi-faceted marketing team. This role allows you to bring your vision and concepts while staying on brand and respecting the voice of PayScale.

Your responsibilities will include areas of design such as typography, iconography, color, web and print. You will use your knowledge, expertise and skills in all of these fields to help our users successfully navigate our company and product offerings.

A few responsibilities and expectations:

  • Identify and meet with partners per project to qualify needs.
  • Generate clear ideas, concepts and designs of creative assets from beginning to end.
  • Work reciprocally with other designers to ensure a consistent, integrated brand perception and experience for the user.
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team that includes developers, customer marketing, demand gen, product marketing and content writers.
  • You will own creation of social media ads, paid ads, landing page images and any other asset that relates to the larger project at-hand.
  • You will work within Adobe CC products as well as Sketch and Asana.

  • The ability to strike balance between one brands B2B and B2C applications.

  • A love for our brand! You have a strong sense of brand awareness and bring empowering knowledge to each task.
  • You love data! You will have the chance to work with our data team to build visually pleasing and easy-to-read charts related to data packages seen through the lense of millions of people.
  • A love of learning, and constantly seeking more ways to include diversity and inclusion within your designs. This runs the gambit of race, religion, gender and impairments.
  • A talent for project management, leading design projects from concept to creation.
  • Able to multi-task every single day, in a fast-pace environment and be happy to work on a whitepaper one day and social ads the next.

Qualifications

The Requirements:

  • Must be able to provide a portfolio of your work (online preferred)
  • Proficient in Adobe CC (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop)
  • 4-6+ years of experience in a professional visual design capacity
