What You'll Do
- Define and lead the AI roadmap for Utility, including both client-facing solutions and internal innovation.
- Work closely with product and engineering leads to design, prototype, and deploy AI systems that enhance product functionality and deliver measurable value.
- Oversee research into emerging AI models, frameworks, and best practices, translating new capabilities into actionable product opportunities.
- Collaborate with business development and client strategy teams to identify and scope AI-driven opportunities, and articulate a clear value proposition for our clients.
- Build and mentor a team of AI engineers, researchers, and applied data scientists, fostering a culture of experimentation and learning.
- Develop and enforce best practices for AI ethics, responsible deployment, and transparency in our work.
- Represent Utility externally as a thought leader in AI through speaking engagements, articles, and client advisory sessions.
Qualifications
- Proven experience leading AI initiatives in a product, research, or consultancy environment.
- Deep understanding of machine learning, natural language processing, generative models, and data systems.
- Hands-on technical expertise with modern AI frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, LangChain, Hugging Face).
- Strong product sensibility: ability to connect AI capabilities with user needs and business goals.
- Demonstrated experience managing and growing technical teams.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to interface with clients, executives, and cross-disciplinary teams.
- Passion for staying ahead of the curve on AI advancements, coupled with a pragmatic approach to delivering production-ready solutions.
