Mission:

The mission of the Cloud Architect Lead is to drive forward the Cloud Architect role within Cloudreach as a technical coach and mentor to the CA community. The CA Lead exemplifies technical expertise, best practice and acts as a mentor and coach within the CA community.

What will you do at Cloudreach?

  • Consult with our US customers, helping build and architect new solutions, data center migrations, and scaling their adoption of cloud technologies.
  • Drive solution architecture and best practices by producing internal white-papers and best practice guides, contributing to Cloudreach internal tooling, mentoring fellow architects.
  • Lead and be deeply involved in the hands-on technical delivery of customer projects.
  • Enable clients to visualize the possibilities of leveraging public cloud.
  • Identify and develop opportunities to increase the consumption of Cloudreach services within customer accounts.
  • Provide thought leadership in the form of public speaking, publish content such as blog articles, case studies.
  • Establishing a Mentor & Mentee relationship with mini-pod members
  • Creating work-related and personal development goals with CA’s in your mini-pod.
  • Working with your CEL to ensure everyone in the team can execute to their fullest potential.
  • Collaborating with the CA Role Owner to delegate and execute on role roadmap items.
  • Starting and following up on the work when an SME in your mini-pod triggers a performance review
  • Have a weekly touch point with the members of your SME mini-pod.
  • On-board Cloud Architects new to the role.
  • Champion the role of Cloud Architect within Cloudreach
  • Become the “Go To” point of contact with cross BU involvement on an established topic influencing CE ability to execute engagements.
  • Attend, participate in and regularly chair the weekly CA Sync, CA Meetup and ad hoc training sessions

What do we look for?

  • Flexibility to travel up to 100% in a given month if needed and 60-70% average per year
  • Experience with architecting, designing, implementing, and supporting of greenfield and/or migration projects using public cloud
  • Deep technical experience in one or more of the following:
    • Software design or development (Continuous Delivery/Integration, adoption of DevOps practices)
    • Systems Operations / Management
    • Enterprise Architecture
    • Infrastructure Design
    • IT Security and governance
    • Automation and System Orchestration
  • You have experience with programming, preferably in Python, but at least, in a modern programming language such as Go, Ruby, Java, C++, Perl or .NET
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Customer facing experience of a consultative nature
  • Build relationships within the CA community as a subject matter expert with the focus of sharing experience and skills to elevate the entire CA team.
  • Ability to synthesize information and efficiently produce, maintain and disseminate sections of knowledge.
  • Demonstrate ability to teach, coach, and mentor other members of the CA community through tools such as weekly sync meetings, scheduled events, quarterly/annual speaking blocks, etc.
  • Coaching and mentoring skills i.e. experience with technically nurturing peers to advance their knowledge of different technologies and business processes.
  • Excellent communication skills.
