Your Impact

It’s your job to put the integrations in place that enable Law Enforcement Agencies and Public Safety to protect life. You will have expert level knowledge in what data matters to who and how that data flows and changes between systems. You will work with a team to build scaleable integration framework that is the connective tissue between Axon products and many other public safety systems. Successfully completing this work means that you are:

*Ensuring Officer and Jail Safety by surfacing key information

*Enabling Crime Analysts to unlock that missing piece of data to solve crime

*Allowing justice to be swift and accurate by giving Prosecutors and Courts accurate information

*Allowing investigators and forensic technicians easy access to on crime scene evidence

There can be a range of obstacles when trying to get these systems to work together. There are diverse operating systems, different programming and database languages, and legacy systems. You must be able to apply your awesome problem solving skills and great engineering principles to these complex, real-world problems so that systems can be effectively integrated. When you are successful, you will equip public safety professionals at all levels with the information they need to protect life.

Your Day to Day

• Use the knowledge learned with each new integration to make the framework strong and versatile
• Design, implement, and refine the integration framework
• Build configuration tools to allow new integrations between Axon and other public safety systems
• Operate iteratively to get from good to world-class
• Coordinate work with members of your team and others, both local and remote
• Write performant, maintainable code that is easy to read and well-documented

Basic Qualifications

• Passion for making our world better
• Bachelor CS degree and 2+ years of experience in software engineering
• Experience building cloud based software
• Adaptable to different programming languages and technologies
• Ability to maintain confidential and highly sensitive information
• Must pass a Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) background check

Preferred Qualifications

• A bona fide tinkerer in the sense that you love taking things apart to understand how they work
• Experience with Azure cloud components and .NET
• Familiarity with build and CI tools/processes like Kubernetes, TeamCity, Azure DevOps, etc.
• Data or database Engineering experience
