About the Role

We appreciate our developer friends and want to make them happy! Your job will be to help us accomplish excellence in developer experience, as well as writing beautiful and easy to understand API documentation. You will be included in our team architecture discussions and help guide the direction of how our system will affect our APIs. You will also contribute and maintain our client libraries, which make our clients’ lives even easier.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable services and tools used by customer engineering teams
• Identify improvements in our products to improve developer experience
• Build client libraries in multiple languages
• Head our developer experience efforts by talking to customers to help accelerate our API adoption
• Write and improve our API documentation
• Work with support, implementation engineering, and sales engineering to guide customers’ integrations

Minimum Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building and operating production SaaS applications
• Experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs
• Excellent spoken and written communication, particularly with documentation
• Experience using backend web frameworks and two or more of these languages: Python, Javascript (particularly NodeJS), Ruby, Go, PHP, Java, C#
• Experience deploying services in Linux
• Expertise in Python is a plus
• Excellent debugging and troubleshooting skills

Location

You must be currently authorized to work in the United States or Canada on a full-time basis.

Rendezvous

To help foster amazing relationships with our coworkers, we meet up twice a year as a whole team in some pretty awesome cities! In the past we’ve met up in San Diego, Seattle, and Austin. We’d rather invest money into memorable team events rather than expensive offices. During our meet-up team time, we love to spend time learning a new skill together, and solving problems. Most recently this has taken on the form of a bread-making class and defeating an Escape Room. Yeah.. We love to compete together as a team.
