Looking to work with cutting edge technology? EagleView is looking for a Director of Production Operations to join our team.

Primary Responsibilities

 The Director of Production Operations is responsible for ensuring rapid, high quality return to service for production aerial imagery capture systems. This key leadership position in the technology organization reports to the chief technology officer and will have primary ownership for designing, implementing, and continuously improving processes for modifying the company's fleet of production assets, including the implementation of design changes released from research and development, performance of routine maintenance, and first level diagnosis and repair of component and system failures.

This leader is expected to assess processes, infrastructure, tools, and talent supporting these key operational activities, make recommendations for improving effectiveness, and implement agreed upon changes. Such changes may include but are not limited to role and team structure, processes and procedures, facilities, and equipment.
Experience leading change is imperative, as the systems involved are in the transition phase from research and development to full production capability. Close partnership with research and development teams and flight operations / fleet management teams are essential to success in the role. Exceptional collaboration and teamwork skills are essential.
EagleView's primary facility for performing system modifications is in Rochester, New York. Additional flight operations hubs are based in St. George, Utah and Burlington, North Carolina.

The position is open to any location in the United States, but this leader should expect to travel frequently to Rochester, NY and other company locations as required if not based there.

Process Management

  • Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient physical work environment
  • Remove bottlenecks and optimize flow in production operations
  • Define and optimize forward and reverse logistics systems
  • Define and standardize field maintenance procedures
  • Measure and drive MTBF and MTTR improvements for aerial capture systems
  • Define and optimize systems for maintaining spare parts inventories

Planning and Forecasting

  • Plan production capacity, forecast demand, and own delivery commitments
  • Develop and maintain financial forecasts for production activities and materials in collaboration with corporate FP&A function

Acceptance Testing and Product Feedback

  • Define and conduct test protocols for acceptance of system design changes
  • Provide feedback to research and development on quality, reliability, and serviceability trends and issues
  • Experience in maintenance of high value, complex software-enabled robotic equipment
  • Leading with Lean management systems, continuous improvement methods, and tools
  • Strong root cause analysis skills and ability to provide useful feedback on product design and failure modes
  • Designing and implementing tracking, reporting, and self-service tools for managing physical inventory, maintenance, and repair activities
  • Implementing defined manufacturing processes requiring high precision and tight tolerances
  • Expertise in logistics management and supply chain best practices
  • Knowledge of and experience applying linear programming / optimization methods to solve for problems with multiple concurrent constraints
  • Experience managing distributed teams with managerial, supervisory, and individual contributor direct reports
