About the Role

Success in the role requires a proven presales professional who can anticipate, understand, and manage OpenMarket Enterprise prospect and customer needs then respond accordingly with Industry-leading solutions.

The Director of Sales Engineering will be responsible for supporting global Sales Account Directors by leading all technical aspects of the sales process, from qualification and proposal to deal closure.  This position will work closely with different departments to ensure OpenMarket business growth predicated on customer success and satisfaction.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Develop and deliver customer-focused presentations and demonstrations of proposed OpenMarket solution sets (products and services) as they apply to the customers/prospects problems and needs.
  • Enhance and develop presales strategies to drive new business and provide an excellent customer experience from initial engagement to onboarding.
  • Provide a high level of technical understanding of the relevant technologies that informs sales activities, customer engagements, and solution design.
  • Ensure and achieve sales engineering excellence in support of customers or accounts at risk due to operational issues; work with account teams and operations to develop plans to mitigate risks.
  • Work closely with internal cross-functional teams to develop high-quality, strong, and accurate proposals and responses to requests.
  • Act as the Voice of the Customer when providing feedback to the product team and roadmap.
  • Provide technical/functional leadership to Sales Account Directors to set and manage customer expectations based on current solution set and future roadmap.
  • Assist global teams as needed to grow regional business.

What to Bring

  • 10+ years of technology (emphasis on mobile) experience with a focus on major enterprises companies.
  • 8+ years of enterprise level presales experience (emphasis on mobile).
  • Expert knowledge in key technical domains such as SMS, MMS, RCS, SaaS offerings, API integration, and platform capabilities.
  • Deep understanding of other key domains such as commercial, financial, legal, privacy/security, provisioning, global SMS, and mobile carriers.
  • Ability to demonstrate successful track record in assisting senior sales professionals with planning, selling, and closing complex and competitive sales opportunities with multiple stakeholders.
  • Proven capability to build professional, compelling proposals, create and execute engaging and informative live demos for prospective customers.
  • Ability to demonstrate successful track record in assisting senior sales professionals with planning, selling, and closing complex and competitive sales opportunities with multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills with the ability to establish strong and effective relationships with executive level decision makers.

Education/Training

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
  • MBA desired.

Additional Information

This position is open in Seattle, WA.

 

Travel required: 25-50% (When permittable).

Our company is in the Lower Queen Anne area with a beautiful view of Elliott Bay. The office is a short distance to a variety of restaurants/shops.
