Director of Technical Operations, Coinme Reports to CTO At Coinme, our goal is to improve the financial lives for everyone by providing easy and ubiquitous access to consumer financial services built on blockchain technology. To support this mission, we are looking for a world class Director of Technical Operations.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES ● Responsible for operations performance and stability for all Coinme production services ● Set and meet overall internal performance service level availability and response targets ● Implement an operational architecture and capacity plan ● Implement a complete Disaster recovery rollout ● Responsible for all security related items at Coinme ● Management of network and systems operations team ● Primary liaison and interaction point with all partners on operational items ● Ensure all newly deployed services meet Coinme operational requirements ● Drive change in operating models and challenging the existing processes ● Work closely with Coinme operational vendors and partners ● Set up the operations of new offerings and services to pre-empt any problems in order to optimize efficiency.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERTISE ● 10+ years of experience in Technical Operations Management ● 5+ years experience managing large scale AWS or similar cloud provider deployments ● 10+ years experience in Linux/Unix operating environments ● Experience with Kubernetes, Kafka, Docker, Postgres, Mongo DB ● 3+ years experience with Financial or Transactional systems ● Management of an operations team of systems, network and database administrators ● Demonstrated track record of building incident management team and response policies ● Extremely strong analytical skills with an ability to conceptualize issues and synthesize data to provide strategic direction and execution ● Strong communication skills and strong stakeholder management capabilities ● Proven track record of ability to scale and build operations team

PREFERRED ● Experience with fintech a strong plus, including financial and compliance reporting ● Experience with cryptocurrency and/or blockchain operations ● Prior working experience in start-up environment or corporate innovation team ● Experience working in an agile environment

EDUCATION ● Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field ● Masters Degree is a plus

LOCATION This opportunity is for a full-time position located at our headquarters in Seattle, WA. Working remotely part of the time is an option for the right individual.
